Our History

In November 1960, County Historian J. Reese Price, Ernest C. Gould, Theodore H. Stevens, and Howard J. Zibble initiated a movement to organize a stamp club in Watertown. An open meeting held November 19, 1960 brought forth 22 collectors, all of whom became members of the club.

The first annual meeting was held January 7, 1961 in the Jefferson County Historical Society museum, where the bylaws were presented, followed by the election of officers, with Mr. Zibble as president.
