The Auburn Stamp Club was founded in 1930 with a membership of 20 collectors who met in the YMCA, then located on Genesee Street in Auburn. Since that time, the club grew to a membership of 42 collectors. A speaker, a slide program, or an auction followed most business meetings. Since 1966 the club had held an annual stamp show, which was open to the public.
